CALL TESOL HSU 2019
The course explores both the practical and theoretical aspects of employing computers in second language learning. An overview of CALL issues will be reviewed, and interactive technology is analysed. Main topics for class discussion include resources for language learning on the Internet, software and website evaluation, web page design and authoring programs, web-based activities, social networking based activities, CALL materials and curriculum, Web 2.0 and interactive learning platform, mobile-assisted language learning, CALL integration and students’ achievement, and learning evaluation. Implications of CALL in language classrooms and research will also be considered in each section of the course.

Computer Assisted Language Learning 2018 VUWK5
Computer Assisted Language Learning is a beginner's-level course in designing online education resources. Topics include the development of educational Web pages and sites; Hypertext Markup Language (HTML); web site usability and accessibility, and evaluation of web resources, particularly in the area of presenting educational material online. Emphasis in the first part of the course will be on learning the basics of web coding in HTML and then the use of Adobe Dreamweaver, a popular web development software program used by many educators as well as professional web designers. During the course, students will also explore research materials on how ICT can be used in teaching a variety of language skills and aspects.
