In this modern world, the existence of robots is considered as a new milestone of human’s creativity. Despite robots, nowadays, it can be used in different fields and careers such as agriculture, forestry, economy…However, I believe that robots cannot take the role of an English teacher for many reasons.

Firstly, robots cannot understand human emotions and it will be a catastrophe if they do. Human emotions are a network of complex neurons and chemical reactions inside our brain, while robots are just a machine that is created by human and all that happens inside their system is the data number of 0 and 1. Since even humans cannot understand clearly the emotion of each other yet how can robots apply and understand emotions as we do to each other? Even though scientists will try to make robots understand the emotion of humankind, but I believe they would have estimated that robots will one day try to take control of humanity if they can understand the emotions of humans. Therefore, in a classroom, robots cannot understand or know whether students understand or have any troubles with the lesson or not; they can teach on and on and they will not stop until the lesson, which was programmed inside their system, is over. As a result, the quality of the lesson is taught by robots will not as productive as English teachers.

Secondly, the lack of ability to adapt to different situations in the classroom of robots makes the idea of they can replace English teachers unrealistically. Each learner possess a different kind of strengths, by mixing them into a class will cause either the robot to be confused about how to enhance their strength through the lesson or some student will not understand. In this case, English teachers would be the best option because they can be flexible in designing the lesson plan that will suit the class's strengths and potential.

From all the reasons above, I still strongly believe that robots will have a hard time to catch up with the ability of humankind. Even though that they can bring great benefits into our lives and soon may be as good as humans in the future, but when that time happens, humans would either living on another planet or upgrading into a greater living being.
