In the powerpoint file, you will find some audio files which should help improve your active listening and your interpreting skills. After listening for the first sentence, pause. Then try to predict what is going to be presented. Figure out how you could anticipate - any clues for the prediction?

To prepare for dialog interpreting, you have been advised to prepare 10 questions. Each of you will be ready to become an interpreter. This is a trial activity to see how well you can perform through mlearning. If everthing goes well, we are going to continue with a rotation of all three members. Currently, you are going to vote who will the interpreter in your group for a trial video recording. Here are the following steps you should follow.
- Each group will act out the questions prepared by one member (A, B, or C). (This week you will choose 10 questions designed by one member that you agree to vote.)
- You are going to assign the roles: a client, a speaker, and an interpreter.
- Then, three of you will sit in front of a laptop to prepare for a video recording.
- Once you have logged yourself in (via a member's mlearning account), read the instructions carefully and then click on the video button to start the recording.
- Be sure three faces can be found on the screen. Once three faces are shown up, remember to introduce your names and your roles.
- When submitting your recording, you have 30 minutes for editing (if needed).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You have chosen 10 questions from a member for the dialog interpreting ( to be recorded). However, the other 20 questions from the other members in your group (of three or 30 questions from a group of four) should be inserted here in the message box below.
- First, click on "Add a New Discussion Topic".
- Second, give a name on the Subject name in the following syntax: GivennameoftheHead_Questions_DialogInt
- Third, paste the questions into the message box.
- Then, click on the button "Record Video".
- Finally, click 'Post to Forum'.

Final Exam Administratioin
In the final exam interpreting, there will be three parts. Part 1 is concerned with interpreing meeting conventional phrases as introduced in Business English Vocabulary.
Part 2 involves a dialog from which you will be required to summarize the main content on the basis of your ability of listening for sense. You will then be asked to render the message of some 'conventional' phrases.
Part 3 requires you to listen a short monolog before you are required to interpret the sentences from the monolog. The topics will revolve daily life issues.
In all, you will be interpreting about 28 sentence-based messages.
