You and three other members in your crew are four famous space scientists that are specialized in space exploration and outer space life. The Space Exploration Federation invites all of you to join the “Utopia planet quest” mission to explore the solar system. Your team will travel around the galaxy to find out which planet can support life. You must research all the planets in the universe and choose three planets that you think are the most likely habitable ones. Afterwards, you must gather required data about each individual planet and write a paper with in-depth analysis of the possible habitability of each planet. Your team must focus on important issues given on the Planet chart, such as:
- What is the distance from each planet to the Sun?
- What is the size of the planet?
- What is the average temperature in each planet?
- What is each planet’s period of rotation?
- How are the conditions of atmosphere on the planets?
- What are available energy resources that humans can harvest in each planet?
- What are potential chemical interactions that may occur on the planets?
- What are potential risks from meteors?
Most importantly, with your analysis, you will have to come to the conclusion about which planet is the best choice for a potential utopia planet. You will then create a PowerPoint presentation on the planet you choose with complete analysis and demonstration and present it to the Federation President and other scientists to convince them. After your presentation, the President will give evaluation of your team’s project.
Good luck team! Now, be ready to proceed with the Process part in the “Utopia planet quest” mission!
